Ric Norris was born in Des Moines Iowa in 1955, where he attended First Church of the Open Bible his whole young life. After graduating High School he attended one year of Bilble College, where he was studying for the pastorate.In 1974 he had the opportunity to go on the road with the Blackwood Singers from Nashville TN where he began his professional music career and met his wife, Susan. Ric and Susan have been married for thirty two years, and have three children, and three grand children.
In 1977 Ric went on the road with Dallas Holm and Praise who he played with for the next ten years until the band came to an end in 1987, after that he spent the next few years doing session work, and playing many large churches in the Dallas area.
Ric has been playing drums with Joni and the Daystar Band and Singers for six years, and also serves as the Facility Manager, where he oversee's building maintenance.
