Cel_Band_Don_Bozeman2A native of the Dallas, Texas area, Don Bozman earned the Bachelor of Music degree from Midwestern State University and the Master of Music degree from Michigan State University. During his college tenure he was a member of the Wichita Falls Symphony Orchestra and the Lansing Symphony Orchestra. From 1981 to 1983 an international tour with the American Wind Symphony Orchestra was followed by national tours of “The 1940’s Radio Hour”, “The Student Prince”, and “The Desert Song”.

In 1983 he joined Dallas Brass & Electric as trombonist and arranger, later becoming the band’s leader. For the next 20 years DB&E was one of the most popular bands in the DFW area and was honored several times in the annual Dallas Observer Music Awards, named as Best Funk/Soul Band in 1987 and Best Cover Band in 1992 and 1995.

Shortly after his son was born in 1995 Don began to feel Holy Spirit leading him to give up his secular band and use his gifts for the Lord. In 2001 he began playing trombone and writing the horn arrangements for the worship band at High Point Church in Arlington, Texas where he is now the arranger and co-band leader. He has been playing with the Daystar Singers and Band since 2004 and has penned a number of their horn arrangements.
