In 2008, more than 53,000 churches across Brazil joined the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) in reaching their nation for Jesus Christ by implementing the My Hope World Evangelism through Television project. Across alligator- and piranha-inhabited rivers and in streets known for eruptions of machine gun fire, God’s people boldly shared the Good News, and more than 340,000 Brazilians made commitments to Christ. This outreach in Brazil, one of more than 40 countries in which the My Hope project has taken place, will be featured in the next TV broadcast from the BGEA airing on national Christian networks beginning October 25.
